Each Section has a Leader with Assistants and Helpers

The Group is ‘overseen’ by a Group Scout Leader who is responsible for the management of the Group .

We own our own hall and grounds for which we are totally self - supporting. This includes maintenance, running costs and equipment needed by the Troop for camping, etc. Funds are raised by the Group Executive, Chairman

Subs -You are asked to pay a subscription fee (weekly or by the term) which is payable even if your child is absent. Some of this is paid to Scout Headquarters for administration and insurance. Of the remainder most goes to the Group for running costs of the hall etc. and the remainder is used for the Section programme. If you pay tax please can you fill out a form for Gift Aid, we can then claim tax back.

Your InvolvementYou may be asked to help with transport for outing or camp. Sections may also need your help on some meeting nights to make the correct number of adults or to pass on any skills you may have. If you are going to have contact with the Scouts you will need to complete a CRB (criminal record bureau) form to be police checked, this must be completed and search carried out before you can start.

Webb IvoryThis is sold all year round as greeting cards, available at sales. Each parent is given a Christmas catalogue in the autumn, please support with an order as we can make up to 25% of your order.

Fund RaisingThis happens regularly throughout the year. We need you to support at these events, they are how we raise the income needed for the Group. For sales we need goods to sell such as, cakes, white elephant, toys etc. then come and buy, please. We go out to other fetes and so need items for a Tombola stalls.
