I think, in the summer of 1943, or possibly spring of '44. The venue was Shirley recreation ground. This was just a few members of the Troop and the Pack. I can't remember what the occasion was. Certainly it was one of the few times I ever saw Skipper Dawkins in mufti. I'm the scout in the back row on Skipper's right, and the scout on my right was called Claude Kerens.
